The $70 million jackpot, offered during the Lotto Max draw on Tuesday evening, was won by Marcel Lussier, a retiree who now has the means to fulfill his ambitions.
When he learned of his win on Wednesday morning, he hastened to find a good hiding place for his ticket. The hiding place was so good that he was afraid of forgetting to pick up his ticket before going to the head office of Loto-Québec.
In addition to the jackpot won by Mr. Lussier, only two “maxmillions” worth $1 million out of the 46 put into play were won during the same draw. However, the place of purchase of these tickets has not been specified.
This is the third time that the maximum Lotto Max jackpot has been won in Quebec, and this, in the space of two and a half years. This is the 39th Lotto Max jackpot won in Quebec.
“I have at least ten projects”, says the multimillionaire. “Each project will cost around $7 million, so after my ten projects, I won’t have any money left.”
